Letter to the Explorer

Hi, I’m Amber; some people call me Maven.

I am an artist, explorer, and storyteller curious about what it means to be human.

For over a decade, massage therapy has given me a direct way to interface with another human nervous system, teaching me how much we communicate beyond words. When I later heard the words “everyone can be an artist,” I looked at a lifetime of expression—from ballet and music to drawing, acting, and stage production—and recognized what had been there all along.

I create through feeling.

Long before I had language for it, I was translating my experience of being human through whatever form was available to me. Now, I create with intention.

I don’t see separation between artistic forms. Color, imagery, environment, movement, music, and story are different languages for expressing what words sometimes can’t.

I use those languages to create curiosity—to invite you to wonder, feel, explore, and perhaps discover something within yourself.

The medium may change. The curiosity remains.
